Start reviewing with UIReview.

Install

  1. Download UIReview and open chrome://extensions.
  2. Enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the extension folder.
  3. Click the UIReview toolbar icon to open the floating review tools.

Inspect and compare

Press I and move across the page to inspect box model, layout, color, and typography values. Click an element to lock it, then hover another element to compare spacing. Press Space to fix the style panel for dragging, and press Space again to resume cursor following.

Screenshot feedback

Press C, drag over the region you want to capture, and release. Add pen, arrow, rectangle, or ellipse annotations, describe the issue, choose a destination, and send it directly to Feishu or Lark.

Connect Feishu/Lark

Create a self-built application in the Feishu Open Platform, add the following application permissions, and publish the application version so they take effect. Then enter its App ID and App Secret in UIReview settings. Credentials remain in local extension storage.

  • wiki:node:read

API permissions and access to the destination file are separate requirements. An enabled permission allows the application to call an API; it does not give the application access to every document. Connecting in UIReview verifies the application credentials, not its access to your destination.

Grant access to the destination

  1. Open the Feishu document or spreadsheet that will receive screenshot feedback.
  2. Ask the file owner to add the self-built application configured in UIReview and grant it edit access. In supported documents, open the top-right More menu and choose Add document application (添加文档应用). Menu labels and availability may vary by file type and account permissions.
  3. Confirm that the added application matches the App ID configured in UIReview. Your personal account's access to the file does not grant access to the application.
  4. For /wiki/ links, ask the knowledge base administrator to grant the application access to the target node as well. The wiki:node:read API permission alone does not grant node access.
  5. Return to UIReview and retry adding the destination or sending feedback.

Troubleshoot permission errors

If you see node permission denied or tenant needs read permission, Feishu has denied the application's access to the target node. Follow the destination access steps above, even if all three API permissions already show as enabled in the Open Platform.

If the application is missing from the selection list, confirm that it has been published and belongs to the same organization as the destination. Ask the file owner or administrator to check access if you cannot find the application menu. If access is already granted, verify that it was granted to the same application configured in UIReview and, for Wiki links, to the correct knowledge base node.
